Earlier this month, Klay Thompson recorded minutes in a game for the Golden State Warriors for the first time in over two and a half years. He has been out of commission since suffering a torn ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. The Toronto Raptors defeated the Warriors to earn their first championship in the team's history.

Thompson is having a bit of a rough start to his return, but according to teammate Stephen Curry, there's “no pressure” on him. Curry had this to say about his longtime teammate, quotes credited to this article by The Athletic.

“I've let him know: there's no pressure. We got off to a good start this year so that we could have this buffer, this middle part of the year for him to get his legs back and understand what it feels like for his body to play at this level again.”

Curry also acknowledged the prolonged period that the Warriors' shooting guard has gone without playing a game in the NBA. “Two and a half years is such a long time between games. He can still shoot the ball, still crazy competitive, and understands the long game.”

The Warriors' star three-point shooter is looking forward to how Thompson progresses through the rest of the season and said that he “can't wait” to see how he performs in the playoffs.

Thompson has played in four of the Warriors' last five games. Golden State is 31-12 and 2nd in the Western Conference, well on their way to a playoff run.
