Plantation Shutters Ad Telling Joe Biden Supporters 'Don't Call Us' Goes Viral

An ad for a Florida-based window shutters company which tells customers if they "support Joe Biden and are a liberal, don't call us" has gone viral.

Versions of the ad for Plantation Shutters for You have been played in Florida for the past few months, but have recently been widely shared on social media.

During the ad promoting blinds, a male voiceover states: "Manufactured in the USA, Plantation Shutters for You is your best choice for plantation shutters.

"Call today for a free consultation, discounts for all military and first responders.

"If you support Joe Biden or are liberal, don't call us."

One clip of the ad, posted on TikTok by social media user @robertjackon392, has since been viewed more than 4.1 million times.

The ad was also shared on Twitter by the popular Fifty Shades of Whey account, where it has been viewed a further 19,000 times.

Replying to the Fifty Shades of Whey tweet, Joe Bowen asked: "What happens if you were a Republican when you bought their shutters, but changed your mind and voted Democrat a couple of years later? Does that void their 'Lifetime Warranty,' or do they do something worse?"

"This would be the top story all week on Tucker Carlson and Fox News if it discriminated conservative citizens...." added Justin Moore.

In a statement to Newsweek concerning reactions to the ad, a spokesperson for Plantation Shutters for You said: "All good vibes! Everyone LOVES IT!"

This is not the first time that the company has targeted President Biden in its advertising.

In April 2021, another Twitter user based in Naples, Florida, shared a clip of Plantation Shutters for You ad which stated that "Biden voters who wished they voted for Trump now as well as Trump voters" would be eligible for a discount.

In September 2021, a restaurant owner in Florida told supporters of Biden to "take your business elsewhere."

Angie Ugarte, owner of the DeBary Diner, told Fox 35 Orlando that she put up a sign after becoming angry at deaths of U.S. soldiers during the evacuation from Afghanistan at the end of August.

"If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere," the sign said.

When asked about the reaction, Ugarte said: "I've had people come to the door and look at it and turn around and walk away. And I've had people come into the kitchen while I'm cooking and say, 'Hey, I love your sign.'"
