After only having one game in a period of ten days, the Devils are one day away from resuming game action against the Arizona Coyotes at home on Wednesday. New Jersey gave the team Saturday and Sunday off from official practices before returning Monday.
Mackenzie Blackwood, Mason Geertsen, and Janne Kuokkanen were removed from the COVID protocol list and returned to the team's skate on Monday. The Devils are only missing those players on the injured reserve: Jonathan Bernier (hip), Miles Wood (hip), Tyce Thompson (lower body), AJ Greer (upper body) and Dougie Hamilton (jaw).
Devils head coach Lindy Ruff was not at practice for personal reasons. However, former Devil Travis Zajac, joined the team in a coaching role.
