It’s been a long wait but season four of Ozark is finally on the horizon! This is the final season for the the series that follows money launderer Marty Byrde and his family attempt to survive the Mexican cartel and other threats at the Lake of the Ozarks.Â
This fourth and final season will be 14 episodes total, released over the course of 2022. Half of the episodes will be available on Jan. 21, with Netflix releasing the rest at an undisclosed date later in the year.Â
Season four is expected to be even more intense than the preceding seasons, especially given that the season three finale left one major character dead and Marty and Wendy soaked in their blood.Â
As for what to expect for this final season, showrunner Chris Mundy said to Entertainment Weekly, "I think it will be about whether or not Ruth really can create something of her own that she wants and is sustainable, or if she wants something else." He added, "And I think it will be about if the Byrdes can they turn the biggest mistake of their lives into this huge advantage, and how much will karma catch up with them if they do?"
