Pokémon Unite players are not running out of ways to collect more in-game goodies. After all the events last holiday season, the MOBA is launching yet another event where you can exchange music for a variety of rewards, upping the tempo on how players can progress in the game while collecting fancy cosmetics. Sounds great? Read on to find out more about the Melody Collection event, how to get musical notes, and the items you can exchange them for.

Pokémon Unite Melody Collection Event

Melody Collection Event Schedule

The Melody Collection Event in Pokémon Unite began on Monday, January 17, and will run until February 3, 2022 (Thursday). That's a total of 16 days where players can gather up their Musical Notes and exchange them for some rewards, including Aeos Coins and highly valuable Item Enhancers. Make sure you take note of when the event ends so that you can cash in on your Melodies by then, otherwise, the music will go to waste and you won't be able to earn your rewards.

How to collect Musical Notes: Daily log-in, Playing matches, and Event missions

Players can get Musical Notes through a variety of ways. The easiest way to do so is to log in every day throughout the 16-day period via the Special Gift missions. Try not to break your streak so that you can quickly rack up Notes in Pokémon Unite.

Of course, playing a couple of matches and scoring goals will also grant Musical Notes, so queue up and buckle in for the grind. Among the different challenges, the event will task players to score a total of five goals, score a total of 60 points, and win two battles with different Pokémon—all for 15 Musical Notes each.

Players can already exchange these Musical Notes directly for Item Enhancers, Aeos Tickets, and Aeos Coins, which can be used for availing of cosmetics, Pokémon Unite licenses, and improving battle stats through held items. (More on the rewards below.) Or, since this is aptly called the Melody Collection Event, you can trade them in for a Melody or two.

How to collect Melody

Players can already claim a ton of rewards using just the Musical Notes. However, if you do rack up a lot of Notes, you might want to consider trading them in for Melody. The exchange rate stands at 100 Musical Notes for 1 Melody, and vice versa. Players can also collect Melody directly by logging into Pokémon Unite. The 3-day, 5-day, 7-day, and 10-day log-ins will give a Melody each.

You'll need the Melody—plus some musical notes leftover, so don't trade in everything aimlessly—in order to unlock bigger rewards available for this event, including 3-day Limited Licenses plus a whopping 800 Aeos Coins. If you want to trade from Musical Notes to Melody, or the other way around, go to the Melody Collection tab in the Events section; they are mixed in with the other rewards available for exchange.

Lastly, here are all the details for the rewards players can get during the current Pokémon Unite event. The Unite licenses up for grabs allow you to use the Pokémon in battle for up to three days. Unless you really want to try out Cramorant or Mr. Mime, you might be better off spending your Notes on the Aeos Coins, so you can work towards the full Unite license, or for the 80 Item Enhancers to become even stronger in battle.

Exchange your Musical Notes and Melody wisely and be mindful the limits for each type of item—this shows how many times you can avail that reward. For example, you can only swap 200 Musical Notes and One Melody for the 80 Item Enhancers once during the event. Also take note that you need both types of currency for this, not an “or”. If you have some Notes to spare by the end of Melody Collection, do cash them in for a couple of Tickets or Coins.

It's admittedly not a very efficient exchange system, because players only get 3 coins for 10 musical notes. However, given that the exchange limit is at 999, you can still accumulate a lot of Coins if you would rather opt for that instead of the 3-day Unite Licenses, so you can trade in your extra Melody and just use the Notes to get Coins and save up enough for the Unite License or cosmetic that you want.
