There's been a growing belief that PSG striker Kylian Mbappe will leave the French capital in June and join LaLiga giants Real Madrid, but the French club is now feeling positive over the possibility of Mbappe staying put.

According to ESPN, Paris has had talks with the youngster over a short-term extension and it appears that Mbappe seems interested in renewing his contract with PSG, despite the heavy interest from Los Blancos. However, Madrid is still extremely confident they can lure Mbappe away from the Parisiens after almost bringing him to the Bernabeu last summer.

The Spanish outfit offered a whopping €200 million to PSG for Mbappe but instead of letting him depart, they turned it down. If he does ultimately fail to sign a brand new deal at the Parc des Princes, the 22-year-old would leave his current club as a free agent.

Mbappe was previously interested in a move to one of the most decorated clubs in Europe after PSG signed Lionel Messi. But, the France international has carved out a massive role for himself in Mauricio Pochettino's side and is reportedly keen on playing alongside the likes of Messi, Neymar, and Sergio Ramos. There have also been rumors that Zinedine Zidane could take over at PSG in the future and that's expected to play a factor in Mbappe putting pen to paper.

Madrid is plotting moves for Mbappe and Erling Haaland as they look to partner up two of the most lethal strikers on the globe.
