That small white COVID-19 vaccination card is the ticket you need to get into some bars, restaurants, and venues these days.
More and more businesses are requiring proof of vaccination. In the city of Portland it’s either that, or require masks indoors.
Liz asked the CBS13 I-Team:
“I got married in 2021 so my COVID vaccine card no longer matches my ID and as more places start requiring vaccine proof, I’m having a hard time proving that my card actually belongs to me. How can I get it changed?”
The CBS13 I-Team brought that question to the Maine CDC.
A spokesperson said:
“The manager of the Maine Immunization Program suggested that this individual could contact their health care provider or the vaccination clinic where they received their shots to request a revised card. Another option would be to carry a copy of their marriage certificate showing the change from the name on the vaccination card.”
MaineHealth, the largest provider in the state, has a form online you can fill out and submit to get a copy of your COVID vaccination record.
Their website notes you won’t receive a new card, but a record of immunizations, which is still an accepted record of your vaccination status.
With the growing list of places requiring proof of vaccination, it’s a good idea to check their website or call before you show up.
