Jamie Lynn Spears' Book Flooded With Negative Reviews

Jamie Lynn Spears' memoir is released today, Tuesday, but before the book even hit the shelves it was flooded with negative reviews online.

The Zoey 101 star continues to face severe public criticism as her vicious spat with her elder sister Britney Spears continues.

Fans of the beloved pop star are not happy that her younger sister is releasing a book without Britney getting to speak about her experiences with her conservatorship herself first.

Titled "Things I Should Have Said," Jamie Lynn Spears went on Good Morning America last week to promote the book, and confirmed that her relationship with her sister is widely discussed in it.

However, on Good Reads, the book is being flooded with negative one-star reviews by Britney Spears fans who are urging others not to buy it.

"Jamie Lynn is so evil. This book is a money grab to capitalize on Britney's trauma. Do not buy this book," reads one review.

While another added: "Felt a little less like a memoir, and a little more like a trashy tell-all about a sister she swears she doesn't use for fame or money. Just poor all the way around. Don't waste your time."

Another review reads: "A book of lies written by a talentless leech desperately trying to not be viewed as the monster they truly are."

Newsweek has contacted Jamie Lynn Spears' representatives for comment.

The 30-year-old has already been called out by her sister and a former co-star who claim she is telling lies in the book.

Britney Spears told her sister to stop spreading "crazy lies" after she spoke about an incident involving a knife on Nightline.

"I've never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such !!!" Britney, 40, wrote in a statement posted to her Twitter on Friday, adding, "The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was way too big for me to cut."

Jamie Lynn Spears responded to this to say: "I hate to burst my sister's bubble, but my book is not about her. I can't help that I was born a Spears too, and that some of my experiences involve my sister."

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn Spears' former Zoey 101 co-star Alexa Nikolas called her out for a portion of the book she claims is untrue.

In the book, Jamie Lynn accuses Nikolas of spreading rumors that she was "mean and bitchy" and "smelled bad" when they worked together.

"So I got a lot of messages about Jamie Lynn Spears' new book. I was pretty surprised to see her lying up a storm in there." Nikolas wrote on Instagram.

"Things I Should Have Said" is set to hit shelves on January 18.
