The Mercedes-Benz eVito, an electrified version of the Sprinter's smaller sibling, was introduced to select global markets in 2019 as an eco-friendly and cost-effective business solution. To maintain the appeal to its UK consumers, Mercedes-Benz Vans has readjusted the standard specifications of some models. This includes an all-new trim to extend customer choice and enhanced connectivity services that are included in the Mercedes me services.

The Mercedes-Benz eVito sources power from a 66-kWh battery pack that can have 80 percent of its charge restored in 35 minutes. In doing so, 105 miles of its claimed 162-mile total range can be recovered which makes it ideal for businesses that need to move goods over short distances. Using a standard AC fast-charging system will recover energy in six-and-a-half hours while an 11-kW wall box will take 20 hours. This is a bit less than what is available on the EQV.

Like eVito models before this, gearshift paddles are installed to give drivers the power to adjust the recuperation mode. In this state, the charge is extended via the recovery of energy through decelerating. This latest update includes the DAUTO recuperation mode, which determines whether the van should glide for the least needed resistance, or decelerate and recover energy into the battery.

A peak output figure of 116 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque are available, giving the 3.2-ton van a payload allowance of around 1,800 lbs. The battery is housed in the floor of the body to provide users with a preferable amount of interior space accessible via the side sliding and rear doors.

Those looking for a more conclusive ownership experience can opt for the Premium trim line which adds styling features such as metallic paint with color-coded bumpers, 17-inch aerodynamically-optimized light-alloy wheels, a chrome grille, and a leather-upholstered steering wheel. The brand's Parktronic parking sensors, front fog lights, electrically-folding door mirrors, and lumbar support for the seat are also included in the package.

Throughout the range, the eVito boasts the brand's 7.0-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration as well as a three-year subscription to the Mercedes me app. Using this, owners can connect to a variety of services such as remote eCharging and navigation. It can also program cooling or heating of their van while it is charging.
