Francis Ngannou has pulled off a come-from-behind decision victory over former training partner Cyril Gane to retain his heavyweight title at UFC 270 in Anaheim.
Gane started brightly and got the better of the exchanges in a slow opening couple of rounds but Ngannou changed the complexion of the bout when he began to showcase his wrestling and grappling skills.
Ngannou controlled the final three rounds to claim bragging rights over the Frenchman.
Meanwhile, Deiveson Figueiredo avenged his loss to Brandon Moreno, winning back the flyweight belt in a superb performance.
Aussie Jack Della Maddalena also found himself in the winners' circle, scoring a big first-round knockout win over Pete Rodriguez in his UFC debut.

Francis Ngannou defeats Cyril Gane via unanimous decision (48-47 x2, 49x46). The heavyweight champ retained the title with an impressive points victory over his former training partner. The 35-year-old's trademark power wasn't on display but Ngannou showed some slick grappling skills to turn the fight in his favour after Gane started the better of the pair.

Deiveson Figueiredo defeats Brandon Moreno via unanimous decision (48-47 x3). What a fight. These two just love going to war with each other. Figueiredo dropped Moreno twice but both men had their moments. Very close fight. The Brazilian regains the flyweight belt.

Michel Pereira defeats Andre Fialho via unanimous decision (29-28 x3). Pereira dropped the first round but made the necessary adjustments to take the final two rounds. Entertaining fight.
Said Nurmagomedov defeats Cody Stamann via first-round submission (guillotine). The cousin of former lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov looked superb, landing a spinning back fist, a spinning back kick and a choke, all in just 47 seconds.
Michael Morales defeats Trevin Giles via first-round knockout. Giles managed to survive after eating a couple of big right hands but the 22-year-old Morales was able to get him to the mat and close the show with some follow-up strikes.
Victor Henry defeats Raoni Barcelos via unanimous decision (30-27 x3). The late-notice underdog droped a brilliant performance on UFC debut, outclassing Barcelos to take a comfortable victory.
Jack Della Maddalena defeats Pete Rodriguez via first-round knockout. The Aussie welterweight made the perfect UFC debut, finishing his opponent in the first frame. The West Australian put on a striking clinic, lighting up Rodriguez's face before dropping him with a left and ending the bout with some ground and pound.

Tony Gravely defeats Saimon Oliveira via unanimous decision (30-27 x3). Oliveira looked to have Gravely in trouble with an early guillotine but he fought out of it and put on a wrestling clinic, securing 11 takedowns on the way to victory.
Matt Frevola defeats Genaro Valdez via first-round knockout. Completely wild fight for the three minutes it lasted. Valdez was dropped an unbelievable five times as Frevola repeatedly found the target with his hands before finally getting him out of there with some ground and pound.

When is UFC 270?
UFC 270 will take place on Saturday January 22 (Sunday January 23 AEDT).
The main card is set to begin at 2:00pm (AEDT), with the headline bout between Ngannou and Gane to take place at approximately 4:15pm.
Early prelims will start at 11:00am, whilst prelims are scheduled for 12:00pm.
Where is UFC 270?
The Honda Center located in Anaheim, California will host UFC 270.
It has previously hosted eight different UFC events, most recently UFC 241.
The indoor arena is the home of the NFL's Anaheim Ducks, and seats over 18,000 fans at most events.
