Tilted Towers, one of Fortnite’s most-beloved locations, has been gone a very long time.

Way back in May of 2019, the original island’s volcano erupted, and fire-balls and lava destroyed the urban setting completely.

Since then, the game has never really had as popular a hot-drop, though it’s had a few that came close, like Stark Industries and the more recent Daily Bugle. Not to mention old favorites like Pleasant Park and Retail Row.

Now Tilted Towers is coming back.

The new version, which we know very little about, has been encased in ice and snow since Chapter 3 began. Tonight, that melts, revealing the fan-favorite Named Location. Prepare for it to be very, very hot—hotter than when it was set on fire, in fact.

Tilted Towers returns Tuesday, January 18th after downtime is over. Servers should go down around 4am ET / 1am PT and back up a few hours later—probably around 7 or 8am ET. Expect a lot of changes in the patch, with Tilted Towers the update’s crown jewel.

See you on the island, young padawans. Get ready for some heated battle!
