Michelle Obama Is Fresh-Faced And Radiant In 58th Birthday Post
Michelle Obama is a year older, but you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at her.
Taking to her social media accounts on Monday (January 17), the forever First Lady posted a video of herself dancing to Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday” in front of a delicious-looking birthday cake, wearing a black headband and rocking a fresh, makeup-free face.
“Here’s to a sweet 58th!” a radiant Mrs. Obama wrote. “Thank you so much for your outpouring of love. Whether you texted, emailed, or posted on social media, every birthday message I received today meant a lot to me. I am so grateful to have so many people cheering me on. Looking forward to seeing what this upcoming year has in store.”
Of course, her husband Barack Obama also chimed in via social media with a short, yet very sweet, message for his wife.
"Happy birthday, Michelle," Mr. Obama, 60, wrote on Instagram and Twitter along with a photo of the two in Hawaii from earlier this month. "My love, my partner, my best friend..."
Michelle Obama also used the day, which happens to be the day the United States honors Martin Luther King Jr., to urge Congress to pass the John Lewis voting rights act.
“One of the best ways to honor Dr. King's legacy is to take action to help protect voting rights in our country. Text ‘MLK’ to 56005 and @WhenWeAllVote will send some details you can use to call elected officials today and urge them to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act,” she tweeted.
