fromis_9 Sets a New Record with 'Midnight Guest'
fromis_9 made their long-anticipated comeback with their fourth mini-album "Midnight Guest" on January 17, and simultaneously released "DM" music video.
The newly-released album made an impressive record as it sold approximately 50,000 copies on its first day on Hanteo!
During the two-week pre-order period, "Midnight Guest" recorded more than 120,000 copies of sales.
Because of this, "Midnight Guest" breaks not just fromis_9's first-day sales but it is also the group's first-week sales. The previous record was held by "9 Way Ticket," which sold more than 35,000 copies in the first week of release.
fromis_9's High-Speed Comeback
On January 17, fromis_9 held an online and offline media showcase to celebrate the release of their 4th mini-album "Midnight Guest."
This is the group's first high-speed comeback in about four months since their special single album "Talk & Talk" was released in September 2021.
"Midnight Guest" is a story in which fromis_9, who escaped early in the morning, makes a surprise visit to those who are having a lonely night, and presents various unexpected moments.

The fourth mini-album "Midnight Guest" has a total of five songs including the title song "DM," "Escape Room," "love is Around," "Hush Hush," and "Younggram."
The song "Hush Hush" was composed and written by members Jiwon and Seoyeon.
The title song "DM" is a pop genre song that has a faint chord progression and a funky bass line. The cool bursting chorus part is remarkable, and you can feel the sensibility of the girl group.
fromis_9 previously received love from domestic and foreign music fans with the title song "WE GO" of their second single album "9 WAY TICKET," followed by "Talk & Talk" for the first time on music shows.
The album "Midnight Guest" surpassed 120,000 pre-orders within two weeks of pre-order, which more than tripled the Initial Chodong sales (37,000 copies) of "9 WAY TICKET."
The members expressed their desire to win first place on various music shows with "DM" following their achievements with "Talk & Talk."
fromis_9 Included in Tidal's 'Artists to Watch in 2022'
fromis_9 was recently added to the lineup of "Artists to Watch in 2022" selected by US music streaming platform TIDAL. fromis_9 achieved significant achievements last year with their special single album "Talk & Talk," which swept the top of domestic and international music charts, and they achieved many first places on music shows since their debut.
Aside from that, fromis_9's "WE GO" was selected as one of the "K-Pop Song of the Year" by Billboard. It was announced on Billboard's official website on December 17, 2021.
fromis_9 continues their comeback activities with their 4th mini-album, "Midnight Guest," by appearing on several music shows.
