A Cole County judge denied bond for a Jefferson City man accused of a Dec. 2018 murder.

Jahuan Whirley, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, was certified as an adult in the fatal shooting.

According to online court records, the Court finds there are no non-monetary conditions of release which will protect the community.

The court also denied a request to dismiss one of the charges against Whirley.

Whirley faces multiple felonies in the case including first-degree murder.

Police say Justin Kammerich and a 20-year-old man were both found suffering from gunshot wounds outside of an apartment building on W. Atchison Street.
