iPhone SE With 5.7-inch Display Only Expected In 2023

At the moment, Apple’s iPhone SE series is based on the iPhone 8 in terms of design. This means that even in the display department, the current iPhone SE models feature a 4.7-inch display and that is expected to continue with the upcoming model slated for a March 2022 launch.

However, for those who want a larger iPhone SE model, you might have to wait until 2023 at the earliest. This is according to analyst Ross Young who believes that an iPhone SE with a 5.7-inch display (or larger) could only launch in 2023 at the earliest, or possibly even in 2024.

That being said, we believe that 2024 seems like a more likely candidate. This is because Apple’s iPhone SE releases so far haven’t exactly been very consistent. The first-gen iPhone SE was released in 2016 and the second-gen model was released in 2020, and now the upcoming third-gen model with support for 5G is only being launched two years later.

This means that unlike Apple’s flagship iPhones which are updated on an annual basis, there doesn’t appear to be any kind of fixed schedule that we know of when it comes to the iPhone SE, so 2024 feels like a more plausible timeframe. Either way, for iPhone SE hopefuls, it seems that you could either upgrade to this year’s model if you’re in dire need of a new phone, or hold out until 2023 or 2024 if you’d prefer a larger model.
