Police shot and killed 45-year-old Luis Ku Huitzil at a mobile home park Sunday, Jan. 9. They said he confronted them with a knife. Vancouver police said a resident called 911 about a “male acquaintance” armed with a knife at a home.
The medical examiner listed Ku Huitzil’s residence as “unknown.”
The sheriff’s office identified the officers involved as Monica Hernandez, Timothy Pfeifer, Christopher Bohatch and Ryne Briley.
They were placed on leave after the shooting, which is standard procedure.
