Tommy Fierro's ISPW returned to New Jersey on Friday 1/14 with ISPW Champion Daniel Morrison (aka Doring) managed by Maven, defeating Bull James on top when guest referee Dave LaGreca (yes, the same from SiriusXM's Busted Open) turned and helped Morrison retain. WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart was in, beating Andy Vineberg in a singing contest. The Now captured the ISPW Tag Team Titles beating LSG & Cheeseburger and The Winner’s Club. Nikos Rikos retained the ISPW Tri-State Championship, defeating Matt Sydal. Vicious Vicki retained the ISPW Women’s Championship, defeating The Notorious Mimi. HC Loc pinned Traxx. Crowbar worked in Adam Payne's corner as he beat Leo Sparrow, who wrestled Omos on Raw last week. Crowbar is out of action after taking a bad fall after slipping on ice down a flight of stairs outside his home. The promotion will debut on 2/18 in Butler, NJ, headlined by Danny Morrison with Maven defending the ISPW Title against Scotty 2 Hotty, Bull James vs. Richard Holliday, Vicious Vickie vs. Adena Steele, HC Loc vs. Traxx in a Strap match plus appearances by New York Mets Legend Bobby Valentine, Sal Sincere (Tom Brandi), and much more to be announced this weekend. Jerry Bostic's World Class Pro Wrestling returns this Saturday 1/22 to Irving, Texas with Jacob Fatu vs. Moonshine Mantel in a steel cage match on top at Southern Junction. The show, titled "Have A Nice Day" will feature appearances from Mick Foley, Eric Embry, Scott Casey, voice of World Class Championship Wrestling Marc Lowrance, World Class Tag Team Champions the OMGs, World Class Diamond Division Champion Marti Belle, SWE Champion Charlie Haas, Kevin Sullivan, Andrew Anderson, Action Jackson and more. Embry and Sullivan are in as co-bookers for the project. The promotion will be doing a women's off-shoot titled Ultimate Women of Wrestling with Jenni Santana, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana, announced as General Manager.
The Patriotic Wrestling Federation will debut this Saturday 1/22 with a benefit event for the Wounded Warrior Project at Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Wylie, SC featuring Griff Garrison, Markus Kross, Elijah Proctor, Jett Morris, Stuart Snodgrass, The Soul Patrol, The Moonshine Express and Jake Jacobs. Tony Nese and the SAT will be inducted into the NYWC Hall of Fame at the promotion's 1/29 event in Deer Park at the Sportatorium. They will be shooting all their big angles for February's Psycho Circus event, which is the company's biggest event of the year. Anthony Green will be appearing at the event as well.
The complete field of competition has now been announced Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's 2022 edition of Battle of Los Angeles, one of the biggest independent wrestling tournaments of the year, will feature Aramis, Bandido, Black Taurus, Kevin Blackwood, Jack Cartwheel, JD Drake, Daniel Garcia, Jonathan Gresham, Rey Horus, Jonah, Lee Moriarty, Buddy Murphy, Davey Richards, Lio Rush, Alex Shelley and Phillip Five Skulls. The tournament is set for 1/29/22 and 1/30/22 at the Globe Theater in LA.
Ricky and Kerry Morton, The Barbarian, Baby Doll, John Skyler, Jonny Fairplay and Jimmy Valiant have all been announced for Revolution Wrestling Authority's event on Sunday 3/13 in High Point, NC at the Southside Recreation Center.
Tony Devito and Angel of the Baldies will be reuniting in February for several signings and appearances, including Warriors of Wrestling in Staten Island, NY the weekend of 2/13. HC Loc, who teamed with Devito as The Carnage Crew, will also be appearing.
