Boys hockey: Morristown-Beard holds off Pingry

Andrew Low scored twice for Morristown-Beard as the team held off Pingry for a 3-2 win on Monday at Twin Oaks in Morristown.

Charlie Guida and Low each had a first-period goal to get Morristown-Beard to a 2-0 lead before Evan Xie answered for Pingry with just more than six minutes to go in the opening frame.

Low added his second just past the midway point of the second period before Pingry’s Adrian Kurylko cut the gap to 3-2 with a goal in the final minute of the game.

Casey Connor made eight saves in the win for Morristown-Beard while Pingry’s Rasmus Bergman made 33 stops.

Morristown-Beard (8-7) will face Ridge on Tuesday while Pingry (2-13) will face Watchung Hills on Tuesday.
