God of War and Monster Hunter Rise Were Steam’s Biggest Sellers Last Week

The two biggest PC releases last week were also the biggest sellers on Steam during the period, raking in more revenue than any other game.

PC gaming audiences got access to two major games last week, with PC ports for both God of War (2018) and Monster Hunter Rise releasing on Steam. Both games have been doing well for themselves- Monster Hunter Rise saw peak concurrent player count on launch day of over 90,000, while God of War’s numbers have crossed 73,000. Unsurprisingly, that has been reflected in the two games’ positions on the platform’s sales charts as well.

As per SteamDBGod of War (2018) and Monster Hunter Rise were the two best-selling games on Steam for last week in terms of revenue generation, with the former taking the pole position and the latter occupying the following two. That was the case last week as well, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that both games are occupying that momentum, especially since both ports have been received very well.

Monster Hunter Rise’s expansion, Sunbreak, is going to launch for PC and Switch this summer. As for God of War, there’s no knowing if its sequel will eventually release for PC as well- but PlayStation does have more to offer to the platform, with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection launching for PC later this year.
