TAMPA ― Bucs coach Bruce Arians saw safety Andrew Adams trying to pull Eagles players off the pile following a muffed punt by Jalen Reagor on Sunday.

Arians said he was trying to prevent Adams from drawing a penalty when he tried to move him away and slapped his hand across Adams’ helmet during the third quarter of Tampa Bay’s 31-15 victory.

“I’ve seen enough dumb,” Arians said Monday. “You can’t pull guys out of out of pile. We just got a big play, great field position and he’s trying to pull a guy out of pile and I was trying to knock him off that guy so he didn’t get a penalty.”

Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman, who was calling the game for the NFL on Fox, said he wasn’t sure what Arians was mad about.

“Bruce Arians comes in. He’s pretty excited,” Aikman said. “He takes a whack at Adams. ... Not exactly sure what that’s about.”
