EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has teased the aftermath of Phil Mitchell's life-changing decision in new stills.
Tonight's instalment of the long-running BBC soap (January 17) saw the Albert Square stalwart receive some big news from DCI Samantha Keeble regarding his prison fate, as he was given 24 hours to decide whether or not to become an informant or face a lifetime in jail.
Phil recently learned from family lawyer Ritchie Scott that he could be facing a life sentence over his involvement in Vincent Hubbard's death in 2018.

In tonight's episode, Phil (Steve McFadden) was left feeling guilty about not telling partner Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) the full extent of his possible prison sentence – instead, he had assured her that the worst-case scenario would probably see him get thrown in jail for a couple of years.
Phil spent most of the latest trip to Walford trying to see his family amid his looming prison sentence. While Isaac and Lola blocked his attempts to see Raymond, Lola insisted that Phil needed to worry about Ben (Max Bowden) instead, who is continuing to struggle in the aftermath of the recent homophobic attack.
As Phil then went to visit Ben to confirm if he can handle the Mitchell family businesses, he soon noticed that all was not well with his son, leaving Phil with a lot to think about.
At the end of tonight's episode, Phil returned to the police station where he was offered a deal by DCI Keeble: become an informant and all the Vincent business goes away.
Should Phil reject the deal, he'll find himself locked up for a very long time. But if he accepts, it'd mean him going against everything he stands for as a Mitchell.
Left with just 24 hours to make his decision, these newly-released EastEnders photos show Phil turning to Ritchie (Sian Webber) to help him make his decision.

The new snaps tease the pair's tense-looking conversation. Unfortunately though, they don't really give much away in terms of Phil's headspace or indicate whether or not Ritchie is for or against him becoming a snitch.
Thankfully, the images are from tomorrow night's outing (January 18), and with Keeble's deadline looming, viewers won't have to wait long to find out which path Phil eventually elects to go down.
Will he make the right choice?
EastEnders is set to air these scenes on Tuesday, January 18 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
