Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has aired a brutal attack to Liv Flaherty as she unfairly remains in jail.
In Monday's (January 17) episode, Liv (Isobel Steele) was still behind bars for Ben Tucker's (Simon Lennon) murder. Viewers know that Liv is innocent and that the village's killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) is actually responsible for Ben's death.
The police seemed to be one step closer to find out the truth, but it was all hanging to a thread. Liv needed Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) to wake up and say what she knew about Ben.

Sadly, Manpreet was still unconscious at the hospital after having being accidentally run over by Charles's car.
When Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) visited Liv in jail, he revealed the police didn't have the evidence they need to free her unless Manpreet came round. Vinny, who wasn't present when Meena admitted to Ben's murder, advised Liv to be patient and wait for justice to do its course.
Liv, however, had mistakenly been informed she'd be free soon and was upset at Vinny for not lying for her. "You had the chance to fix this and you chose not to," Liv told Ben, before storming out of the visiting room.

Later on, a frustrated Liv asked her cellmate to hook her up with some booze.
"If you really wanna do something for me, would you get me a drink?" she asked Mel.
When Mel refused and told Liv to "relax", the latter snapped. "Someone needs to learn some manners," an angered Mel said before ominously closing their cell door.
In the final scene, Liv was lying unconscious on the floor as she was covered in blood, after her cellmate presumably attacked her. When will she get out of prison?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
