Inside With Brett Hawke: Deep Chat With Michael Andrew Covers Various Topics and Controversies

The latest episode of the acclaimed Inside With Brett Hawke Podcast is a dandy, as multi-event standout Michael Andrew joins the two-time Australian Olympian for an hourlong interview. Since debuting, Hawke’s podcasts with the biggest names in the sport have become can’t-miss events, and this latest chat with Andrew certainly fits the bill.

Since turning professional in his early teens, Andrew has been one of the most-talked-about athletes in the sport. His dedication to Ultra Short Race Pace Training (USRPT) has been a hot topic of discussion, along with his past decisions to tackle demanding meet programs. With Hawke, the Tokyo Olympian discusses several of the recent controversies that have bubbled up around him.

During the interview with Hawke, Andrew breaks down his individual swims at last summer’s Olympic Games. More, he reviews the criticism he received for not vaccinating against COVID-19, the pandemic which has been a major issue for the world over the past two years. This discussion included criticism that was levied by the media and from multiple Rio Olympic medalist Maya DiRado. Andrew also goes into why has chosen to not be vaccinated against COVID-19.
