LeBron James apologizes to Lakers fans on Twitter

The Los Angeles Lakers were blown out Saturday against the Denver Nuggets on the road, the latest disappointing display in a season packed with poor play.

Whether the lack of effort, urgency, counter-punching or countless other issues, the Lakers are simply not a championship-caliber squad.

Lakers fans have let the team know this when it puts up a terrible performance, such as after the 37-point loss to the Nuggets.

Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter to apologize to the fans for the recent play:

LeBron certainly hasn’t been the main reason the Lakers are struggling. His offensive performances for a 37-year-old player have been absurd, but his teammates haven’t been consistent on either end of the floor to help him.

The Lakers need to turn things around soon, and getting Anthony Davis back should help.
