It was a slow start for the Kansas City Chiefs in their wild-card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs scored zero points in the first quarter in what looked like a game that would be a defensive battle.

Then everything changed in the second quarter when star quarterback Patrick Mahomes got going. Mahomes piled up the offense in a hurry, putting up 21 points in the second quarter, and the Chiefs never looked back.

Mahomes threw 5 passing touchdowns in a span of 10:30, which is by far the fastest in an NFL playoff game, breaking Tom Brady’s feat of just under 25 minutes in 2011.

Here are some highlights from the star quarterback’s performance last night.

Mahomes finished with an absurd stat line, throwing for over 400 yards with 5 touchdowns in what ended up being a blowout victory for the Chiefs.

Mahomes was the talk of the NFL world last night after his big performance followed an uncharacteristically slow start in the game.

The Chiefs will have a much tougher matchup in the divisional round against the Buffalo Bills in a game between two of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

Bills QB Josh Allen had himself a career game in their matchup against the New England Patriots, finishing a near-perfect game going without any punts and only scoring touchdowns in a 47-17 rout.
