NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released video footage of a man they said posed as a food delivery worker and fatally shot a man on the Lower East Side last week, according to authorities.

Just before 10 p.m. on Friday, January 14, police responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside an apartment of the Lillian Wald Houses located at 691 FDR Drive.

Upon arrival, officers observed 30-year-old Davon Venable with gunshot wounds to the back and neck.

EMS transported Venable to Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
