Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker originally released in 2014 on the Wii U, before being ported to Switch in 2018. It’s a spin-off of the popular Captain Toad minigames from Super Mario 3D world, which has the cute adventurer exploring small but detailed cube-shaped levels full of traps, hazards, enemies, and secrets.

Unlike Mario, Toad cannot jump, leaving his trusty pickaxe to clear enemies and obstacles, while rotating the world to find hidden paths.

The Switch version supports two player co-op, and features new levels based on Super Mario Odyssey.

Special Episode DLC includes 18 new challenges and five new courses.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is rated E for Everyone with Mild Cartoon Violence. The free trial ends January 20.
