Xbox players have been suffering from game-breaking crashing and freezing errors since Warzone’s Pacific update, but one simple solution can fix many of the issues.

Warzone Pacific Season 1 brought many changes the community was looking for, adding a brand-new map, a working anti-cheat, and removing Stopping Power once and for all. However, it’s also brought some of the worst glitches Warzone has ever seen, particularly on Xbox.

Thanks to glitches, Xbox players must have a Gold Subscription to play, have lost their 120 FPS mode, and can’t even play the game because of constant crashing and freezing issues.

Luckily, there’s a simple solution that should lessen the amount of freezing and crashing issues you’re experiencing.

How to stop Warzone crashing & freezing on Xbox

To stop Warzone from crashing and freezing, don’t hit the Xbox home button while the Warzone application is open.

We recommend creating an Xbox Party before launching Warzone and then using Warzone’s Social tab to invite your friends to games.

This solution comes directly from Raven Software’s Trello board, where they acknowledged that “Players are reporting an issue where pressing the Xbox home button twice while in-game may cause instability.”

Raven said that the issue is caused by players hitting the Xbox home button twice, but many players have reported that issues crop up by pressing it once. So we recommend steering clear of the Xbox button and not pressing it at all.

Whether this will fix the issue where players can’t launch the game at all remains to be seen, but it should help out players who suffer from freezing and crashing while playing.

Raven Software has confirmed they’re investigating a number of Xbox Warzone glitches such as pressing the Xbox button, performance issues, and Xbox players’ Rebirth Island wins not tracking.

The next major Warzone update will be Season 2 in February, so hopefully, this update brings many much-needed fixes.
