SALEM, Ore. — Marion County deputies are looking for whoever was involved in a shooting Sunday in an east Salem neighborhood.
The shooting took place at about 7 a.m. Sunday Deana Street Northwest near Monroe Avenue.
A 9-1-1 caller said they were driving to work when they passed by two juveniles, who started yelling at him.
“As the caller was driving away his car was struck by at least one bullet, believed to have been fired by the juveniles,” the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.
A nearby home was also hit by the gunfire. There were no reports of injuries from the shooting.
A sheriff’s office K9 team was called out to search for the shooting suspects, however, they were not located.
