School bus driver charged after teen girl fatally struck in Brooklyn hit-and-run: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A school bus driver has been arrested and charged after a 15-year-old girl was fatally struck in a hit-and-run collision in Brooklyn Monday morning, according to police.

Police said Aleksandr Patlakh, 55, was charged with a failure to stop for a pedestrian and failure to use due care.

The incident occurred just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Avenue P in Sheepshead Bay, officials said.

Responding officers were called to the scene and discovered the teen girl, later identified as Antonina Zatulovska, lying in the road and was pronounced dead, authorities said.
