Kylie Ossege was the final victim of the Oxford High School shooting to be released from the hospital.

On her way out of St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, after completing her inpatient rehabilitation, she got a clap-out from the healthcare professionals.

Ossege has now begun her outpatient physical and occupational therapy. In the Nov. 30 tragedy she was shot in the chest and shoulder.

After one week at home, her mother, Marita Aragones Ossege, reported on her GoFundMe page that the adjustment has begun.

“The therapists have welcomed her and have been so kind. We are seeking to establish our new routine,’’ she reported.

Kylie was also able to go to the farm to visit her horse Blaze.

“We were so touched that the trees along the drive into the ranch were decorated in Oxford colors, as well as Kylie’s locker. Blaze was excited to see her. It was so great to spend some time with him! Afterwards, she said, “That was amazing, the BEST therapy!” We look forward to being able to spend more time with him as Kylie continues to heal,’’ the mother wrote.

She also said that some days may be two or three steps forward and others one step back. But, according to her mother, Kylie told the physical therapist that her motivation outweighs her pain.

The mother also wrote: “We are forever grateful to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and their incredible staff for their amazing dedication and care for Kylie. From our friends in the ICU to the rehab team, you all have touched our lives in a manner we will never forget.’’

On Nov. 30 four students were shot and killed — Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, Hana St. Juliana and Justin Shilling.

Kylie was one of seven others shot including one teacher. The other six had been released weeks before Kylie was discharged.
