Kristi Malzahn, wife of former Auburn coach, hospitalized with infection

Kristi Malzahn, wife of former Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn, is hospitalized due to an infection, her husband announced Monday.

No other details regarding Kristi Malzahn’s condition were disclosed. Gus Malzahn thanked those who had inquired about and prayed for his wife, and asked that they continue to do so.

“I want to sincerely thank all those who have reached out concerning my wife Kristi,” Gus Malzahn wrote. “She has been hospitalized as she battles an infection. We appreciate and thank all those who have offered prayers and support and ask that you continue to prayer for her recovery.”

Gus Malzahn was head coach at Auburn from 2013-20. He recently completed his first season at Central Florida, where he posted a 9-4 record.
