Ted Nugent Takes Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Exclusion Personally, Desperately Needs to Be Inducted

Dr. Pastor Theodore Aristotle Nugent, music historian and guy who is totally familiar with the expression “the lady doth protest too much,” has definitively proven that he does not care about his exclusion from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by dissing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the second time in as many weeks.

Dr. Pastor Nugent’s latest remarks come from a new interview with The Real Music Observer. After proving his bona fides by wondering aloung “Why [was] Patti Smith [inducted before] before Triumph?”, Dr. Pastor Nugent addressed his own exclusion from Trip Advisor’s #1 Thing to Do in Cleveland:

“I don’t take it personally because I don’t need it. And quite honestly, the authenticity of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been so tainted by the inclusion of not just non-rockers but ANTI-rockers. Madonna? Really? So I find it offensive on that level.”

Dr. Pastor Nugent further illustrated how dispassionate he feels about his lockout by suggesting this idea for a completely even-headed protest that is not at all a hundred dollar punishment for a five dollar crime:

“Grandmaster Flash in the Rock and Roll… And I hope he’s happy, I hope he’s healthy and successful. But Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Why don’t we just go down to Chuck Berry’s grave and take a shit on it? That’s what that represents to me. And it’s unforgivable.”

Dr. Pastor Nugent previously denigrated the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month while whining about not being on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists. Prior to that, in June of 2021, he said that he has yet to be inducted “’cause I’m on the board of directors of the NRA and I’m anti-dope.”
