Benton Co. Sheriffs Encounter Colossal Idiot

A woman was arrested after she punched a Kennewick Police officer in the face. The incident took place Monday morning at about 8:30 am. Police officers were called out to the area of 8th and Cedar on a report of a suspicious person. A female was loitering in a resident's backyard.

Moses Lake Police say the body of Yanira Cedillos was found in Walla Walla County. The body of the Moses Lake mother was found in a remote area off Highway 12 near Wallula Junction this past Thursday and positively identified on Monday. Cedillos had been missing since March 4th. Detectives believe Cedillos was murdered by her ex-boyfriend Juan Gastelum.

Thanks to a tip from a neighbor, a number of Adams County animals near Lind are being cared for. Landowner facing 3 counts of 1st Degree Animal Cruelty. On April 27th, the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a report of alleged neglected animals on a piece of property in the 700 block of South Longmeier Road, a location about 10 miles West of Washtucna just off Highway 26.
