The Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, 119-99. The Warriors were once again without star forward Draymond Green, who's out with a calf injury. Whenever Green isn't playing, you see a difference in the team's style of play.

After the Minnesota game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told the media what he feels is missing most without Green.

“It might have been pace. He keeps the pace going for our team so well. On made baskets, he gets the ball out and pushes it up the floor. It puts the defense on its heels. I didn't feel like we played with much pace tonight,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

Stephen Curry didn't appear in this game either, so that played a part in why the team played poorly. Curry headed back to the Bay Area after the Chicago game on Friday to rest and have his injured hand evaluated. It doesn't sound like anything serious, but that's also what the team thought about Green's injury.

Green has been out because of a sore calf. The Warriors were hoping he would be available on Tuesday at home against the Detroit Pistons, but Sunday the team announced that his return at that time wasn't possible:

The team learned it was a back issue causing the tightness in his calf. Now that they know the issue, they hope to rectify the problem swiftly. But it won't be in time for Tuesday's game.

However, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are expected to play. So, hopefully, they're enough firepower to get the job done for the Warriors while Green is healing up.
