Chugai Online will release Demon Slayer Nichirin Sword hand guards for pencils starting in March 2022. By attaching the ring onto the top of your pencil, you can make it look like the hilt of a Nichirin Sword. There will be ten variations, and the hilts will cost 880 JPY (around $7.70) for each packet. The hilts are available to pre-order until February 3, 2022 via the Chugai website. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
The ten sword hand guards resemble the Nichin Swords of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Kanao, Giyu, Shinobu, Kyojuro, Tengen, Kanroji, Muichiro, and Sanemi. There are some mild discrepancies in the sizes, so they are not completely one-size-fits-all. For example, Sanemi’s Sword hilt is 41×42 mm but Kyojuro’s is 28.5×42 mm. If you plan on using these stainless steel Demon Slayer hilts for your favorite pencil, you may want to measure its circumference prior to purchase.
Demon Slayer pencils are not exactly a new product. Aniplex released sets of pencil games in June 2021. Aside from using them to write, you could also roll these pencils and engage in turn-based combat with your peers. Perhaps the best way to use the Demon Slayer hilts is to attach them to the pencils from Aniplex and re-enact combat scenes from the show.
The Chugai Mining Demon Slayer Nichirin Sword hand guards will ship out in March 2022, with pre-orders ending on February 3, 2022. Demon Slayer is readily available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
