The village is in a state of shock in the wake of Meena's rampage, as the loved ones of her victims struggle to comprehend the death and destruction she caused.

Leyla and Jacob head to the allotment to survey the carnage after Liam trashed it, but they fail to observe Meena's trinket box of trophies is peeking out of the soil.

The crucial evidence needed to prove Meena's guilt may remain buried when Sam later arrives at the allotment and inadvertently shovels earth across the box. This would be bad news for Liv, who's still awaiting trial for Ben's murder.

Meena's currently on the run, and although Emmerdale bosses have promised she'll be getting her comeuppance, it may be a while yet.

2. Coronation Street: Tim's life is on the line

(Friday at 7.30pm on ITV)

ITV

Confused by Tim's recent secretive behaviour, Sally confides in Kevin, who advises that she must speak to her husband rather than letting her imagination run wild.

Sal does just that and stuns Tim by asking him outright if he's having an affair. He denies it, but Sally's unsettled by Tim's reluctance to give her a comforting hug and places a tracker on his phone. Later, Sally tracks Tim down to a hotel and finds him waiting in the bar with a bottle of champagne and two glasses.

The plot thickens when Shona lets slip how much time Tim and Aggie have been spending together, leaving Sally in no doubt her man is playing away. Unaware the nurse has been supporting Tim at his hospital appointments, all hell breaks loose when Sally pops over to the Baileys' house and looks through the window to see Aggie putting an arm around her spouse.

Hearing her angry cries, Aggie ushers Sally inside, where Tim finally plucks up the courage to tell her the truth. But just moments later, the cabbie is overcome with pain and collapses to the ground, clutching his chest.

A hospital dash later, and Sally is shocked and hurt to discover Tim is awaiting a triple heart bypass and hadn't told her. Will the revelation put a strain on the couple's marriage?

The strain of keeping up pretences with Gray is taking its toll on Chelsea, and her distress builds when her husband suggests they register Jordan's birth.

Chelsea turns to Whitney and Kheerat for support, who urge her to stay strong and stick to their plan. But Chelsea's clearly on edge, explaining that even if Gray ends up behind bars, she'll never be rid of him once his name is on their son's legal paperwork.

Whit comes up with the idea of Chelsea signing the documents alone, however that plan is kyboshed when Gray informs his wife that Jordan is now breathing unaided, meaning they don't have to be at the hospital.

Needing to buy Chelsea time to get her passport, Kheerat invites Gray out for a drink to celebrate Jordan's arrival. Mission accomplished, Chelsea makes her way home, but is caught by Gray and forced to pretend she popped out for some milk.

As Gray's suspicions mount, Chelsea finds herself under further scrutiny from her oppressive other half. Worried, she asks Kheerat if he'll meet her at the hospital for support while she signs the birth certificate, but nothing prepares Chelsea for the shock she gets when she's there.

Feeling defeated, Chelsea returns home, and a concerned Denise advises Gray to book her daughter an appointment with the GP. But when he notices his wife isn't eating, Gray decides to surprise her with a present that could make matters even worse.

Ignoring Summer's pleas to leave it alone, the headstrong teen spray paints the words 'Stop Protecting Sex Offenders' on the side of the school building, causing Mrs Cranshaw to suspend her for vandalism.

As angry Tracy reels at Summer for failing to report the incident in the first place, Summer decides to write an open letter in support of Amy. The letter quickly goes viral, and next morning Summer receives a message from Mrs Crawshaw summoning her to a meeting.

There, the teacher thanks Summer for bringing the upskirting to her attention and assures her and Amy she'll be speaking to the governors about a policy change.

However, Al's sense of victory doesn't last long when Gavin orders him to capitalise on the family's financial crisis and drop the price of the boozer by £20,000. Chas is livid by the attempted deception, and so is Cain, who rips up the contract.

With everything up in the air, Al finds himself under further pressure from menacing Gav, who warns he has only got 48 hours to sort things out.

It seems Al may live to regret getting on the wrong side of the Dingles when a shadowy figure slashes the brakes on his car. But their act of vandalism could have potentially deadly consequences when oblivious Al later offers to give Kerry and Kyle a lift into town.

Cain is thrown when he spots fluid leaking from the car, but can he stop the trio from getting into the faulty vehicle?

Elsewhere, Mackenzie manages to get into Al's phone and after reading through his texts from Gavin, he and Cain arrange a meeting with the dodgy businessman.
