Howard recorded 14 points (4-14 FG, 3-11 3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes Sunday in the G League Grand Rapids Gold's 115-111 loss to the Delaware Blue Coats.

Denver assigned the two-way player to the Gold after he made his return from a near-one-month absence due to a sprained left knee in the Nuggets' 140-108 win over the Trail Blazers on Thursday. Though Howard is seemingly healthy now, the Nuggets didn't have a spot available for him in the rotation, so the second-year player looks like he'll pick up some extended run in the G League. While he shot inefficiently Sunday, Howard should remain a go-to scorer fo the Gold so long as he sticks with the affiliate.
