UPDATE: Part-time minister killed by man he had been helping with drug problems, sheriff says
MULBERRY, Fla. (WFLA) — A person died in what deputies say appeared to be an attempted murder-suicide in Mulberry Sunday night.
A spokesperson for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office told 8 On Your Side that the homicide happened in the area of Bailey Road. Deputies were dispatched to the area at 9:16 p.m. on a shooting call.
Initially, the sheriff’s office said it appeared to be a murder-suicide but later reported the suspect actually survived the attempted suicide and was in a hospital.
As of this report, it is unknown what the two people’s relationship was.
