TL;DR
  • A supposed real-world image of the Find X5 Pro has appeared online.
  • The image suggests that OPPO is teaming up with Hasselblad, following in the footsteps of OnePlus.

We’re expecting the OPPO Find X5 Pro to be announced in the coming weeks and months, picking up where the design-focused 2021 flagship phone left off. We already got a look at renders courtesy of Steve ‘OnLeaks’ Hemmerstoffer, and it looks like we’ve just received a real-world look at the device.

A CoolAPK user (h/t: Abhishek Yadav) posted two apparent Find X5 Pro images, showing the back and the front of the device. Check them out below.

Starting with the back, we have a shiny rear cover that features Hasselblad branding. So it seems like OPPO will be working with the veteran camera company too after OnePlus kickstarted this partnership last year. We also see a rear camera housing that forms part of the rear cover rather than being a separate piece of material, complete with “powered by MariSilicon” branding.

Interestingly, the rear cover also displays two IMEI numbers, and checking one of these numbers in an IMEI database confirms that it’s an OPPO device with the model number CPH2305. You can view this screenshot below.

The image showing the front of the device displays some more purported details too, namely the Find X5 Pro name, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC with MariSiliconX chip.

Other details posted by the user generally reflect previous leaks, namely a QHD+ 120Hz LTPO 2.0 OLED screen, 5,000mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and 50W wireless top-ups. The OPPO Find X5 Pro is also tipped to arrive with a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 50MP IMX766 main shooter (with OIS), a 50MP IMX766 ultrawide camera, and a 13MP shooter (presumably telephoto).

There’s no word on a launch date just yet, but the Find X2 and Find X3 families launched in March 2020 and 2021 respectively. So it stands to reason that the Find X5 series will debut in March 2022.
