EXO Kai Becomes The 267th Charity Fairy of Choeaedol
On January 17, Choeaedol posted on its official SNS channels announcing that EXO Kai received 98,604,459 votes from domestic and foreign fans at Choeaedol, and he became the 267th Charity Fairy of the platform.
Because of this, a number of congratulations from EXO-Ls and Erigoms continued coming for Kai, who celebrated his 29th birthday last January 14. Fans expressed their happiness on Twitter with the hashtag '#I love all your days_Jonginah,' and phrases like "Happy birthday to my precious Kim Kai," and "Please keep smiling like that."

Kai, who became a charity fairy, donates to the Milal Welfare Foundation as a fund for the disabled who are isolated due to COVID-19. Kai has been chosen as the Charity Fairy twice so far. He also achieved a cumulative donation amount of 1 million won by donating twice. In total, Kai's accumulated donation for the Choeaedol is 299.5 million won.
Choeaedol selects a Charity Fairy if an idol achieves a total of 55,555,555 donations on birthdays or anniversaries or even higher.
EXO Kai Appeared on a Billboard in Times Square in New York in Celebration of His Birthday
EXO Kai appeared on a large billboard in Times Square in New York for his 28th birthday.
On January 13, the global K-pop fandom platform Whosfan announced that EXO Kai will be the idol that will be celebrated in Times Square in New York.
Whosfan posted a happy birthday advertisement for EXO Kai on a large billboard in the heart of New York.
Before this, a Times Square birthday advertisement voting was held for a week from December 20 to December 27, 2021. EXO Kai took first place with 34.36% votes followed by EXO's D.O and BLACKPINK Jennie in 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
The advertisement is displayed for a week from January 10 to 16, the week of Kai's birthday, based on local time. It will be displayed on a 47-meter-long large billboard in the building right next to 'tkts,' known as the heart of Times Square in New York.
Moreover, on January 13 in the afternoon, Whosfan released a local video of the advertisement being displayed through the platform's YouTube channel. The advertisement makes the video produced by Kai's worldwide fans even more meaningful.
EXO Kai's Recent Activities
EXO Kai previously appeared on 'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA' which was held on January 1 and presented a splendid performance and received a favorable response from fans.
Aside from that, EXO Kai held his first solo concert 'Beyond LIVE #Cinema - KAI: KLoor' on December 12, 2021, and he performed 16 performances on different stages. He also released his second solo album, 'Peaches' on November 30, 2021.
