'#WayV_3rdAnniversary' Dominates Worldwide Trends as Fans Celebrate WayV's Third Year in the Industry
WayV has swept the top spot of the worldwide trends on Twitter as thousands of fans celebrate the group's third anniversary of its debut. The band is also set to hold an event today for the fans.
'#WayV_3rdAnniversary' Becomes No. 1 Trending Topic on Twitter Worldwide as Fans Commemorate WayV's 3 Years Together
January 17, 2022 marks the third year since WayV debuted with their digital EP "The Vision." The boy group is the fourth sub-unit and China-based unit of NCT. It is made up of seven members namely Kun, Winwin, Hendery, Lucas, Ten, Xiaojun and Yangyang.
When midnight struck on Jan. 17, WayV took to their social media account to share several photos of the members to celebrate the special occasion. They also shared a video of the group enjoying holding a party. Only six members are featured in the pictures and video as Lucas is still on hiatus due to his gaslighting controversy.

At the same time, several hashtags related to WayV's third anniversary started soaring to the top spots of the worldwide trends on Twitter as fans around the globe congratulate and greet the septet.
In particular, the hashtag "#WayV_3rdAnniversary" took first place with over 318,000 tweets. It was followed by "#å¨ç¥žV出é“三周年快ä¹" and "#웨ì´ì…˜ë¸Œì´3주년축하해" at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. These three hashtags also trended in different countries across the globe.
As of writing, "#WayV_3rdAnniversary" is still trending in seven countries such as Malaysia, Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

On the fan community Lysn, WayV Yangyang left a message to thank the fans and his fellow members. To the fans, he said, "Really thankful to everyone for accompanying (us) these three years. They've been really been spent fully and happily. I love you so much WayZenNi! My members!"
Yangyang also made a separate message addressed to his members on Bubble. He stated, "You are my brothers, you are the ones who have watched me from childhood to adulthood. I am very grateful to you for always taking the trouble when I was very confused."
The WayV member also said, "Thank you (to these) 6 (people) for appearing in my life. Love you guys!"
Meanwhile, WayV will host a live streaming party on their YouTube channel later today at 8 p.m. KST in celebration of their third anniversary.

WayV's Latest Comeback as a Full Group with Their Third EP 'Kick Back'
WayV's latest comeback with the participation of all seven members took place in March of last year when they dropped their third EP "Kick Back." Members Lucas and Winwin were unable to take part in the comeback promotion as they were in self-quarantine in China when they were carrying out their solo activities.

WayV's "Kick Back" has six songs in total including the original version and Korean version of the title track which is also called "Kick Back." This EP became the group's first work to reach No. 1 on the Gaon Album Chart and ultimately became their first album to receive a platinum certification for reaching 250,000 sales in South Korea.
