Whee In Makes Much-Anticipated Comeback With 2nd Mini-Album ‘WHEE’

On January 16, 2022, Korean pop idol Whee In released her second mini-album, “WHEE.” Following the successful release of her first mini-album, “REDD,” as a solo act in 2020, Whee In starts 2022 with six new songs for her supporters.

“WHEE” is an album that embodies the mystic, enigmatic, and colorful light of Whee In’s musicality.

For this release, Whee In worked with several artists and musicians for its conception, including RAVI, the founder and head of GROOVL1N and THE L1VE LABEL, who helped with the composition and lyrics of a few of the tracks on “WHEE,” such as the title track, “오묘해” (Make Me Happy),” “Deserve (Interlude),” and “파스텔” (Pastel).

Whee In also helped produce the track, “Letter Filled with Light,” which is the second part of “Springtime” from “REDD.” “Springtime” centers around the season Whee In was born in, and the song references the meaning of her name: shining light. The song was written as though it is a sincere and affectionate letter that embodies the words Whee In wishes to communicate to her fans.

When talking about the love and support Whee In receives from her fans, she said, “Thanks to the love and attention of our Moomoos, my colleagues and I were able to focus on this project wholeheartedly. As much as I have laid bare my emotions and thoughts in this album, I hope my voice will reach your hearts, and many of you will find the songs relatable. Through my upcoming album promotions, I will concentrate on showing the various sides of me. I ask for your continued interest and support!”

Whee In is a South Korean pop idol and a member of the K-pop girl group, MAMAMOO. Whee In debuted as a member of MAMAMOO in 2014 and kick-started her career as a soloist in 2018 with the release of her debut single album, “Magnolia.”
