Kep1er is a rookie girl group that is receiving a lot of attention right now. All nine members were selected from Mnet's survival show "Girls Planet 999" and officially debuted with the song "WA DA DA" on January 3.

As the members were all chosen through fans' votes, the members' skills are constantly under scrutiny. Kep1er's live performances, however, have blown away people's prejudices against the group. In particular, member Dayeon is considered the group's ace thanks to her impressive rapping skills.

Kep1er Dayeon Dubbed 'Descendant of BLACKPINK Jennie'

Following her performance on "Kiss the Radio," Dayeon earned praise for her top-notch live vocals. People claimed she sounded as if she "ate the CD" since she sounded identical to the studio version of "WA DA DA." Others contended that Dayeon's part of the song is their favorite and how she perfectly set the mood for the song.

Many compared Dayeon to BLACKPINK member Jennie, who is known for her outstanding live vocal skills and charisma. People claim the two have similar rap abilities. This has led some to tell Dayeon to join YG Entertainment after her contract with Kep1er and Jellyfish Entertainment expires.

People state that if she joins YG Entertainment, Dayeon could become the label's second "YG Princess" after Jennie.
