The Green Bay Packers didn’t have to wait until Monday night to find out their divisional-round opponents.

With the San Francisco 49ers upsetting the Dallas Cowboys on the road, the Packers will take on a familiar rival in the playoffs next weekend. Green Bay’s recent record against San Francisco in the postseason isn’t a good one, but the game will take place at Lambeau Field. That helps.

This means there will be no Mike McCarthy return to Green Bay later in the postseason, and no rematch of last year’s divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. Not yet, at least.

Given the Packers’ recent playoff record against the 49ers, there is likely some concern about this matchup. Especially given how the 49ers match up with the Packers, and also their recent winning run.

How did Twitter react to the Packers-49ers matchup being set for the divisional round?

Perhaps this tweet speaks for the entire fanbase.

And that’s understandable. After all, it’s been a while since the Packers last beat the 49ers in the playoffs.

While it will be a tough matchup against San Francisco, there’s also a huge opportunity for Green Bay. A possible chance to eliminate both the 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Packers’ season was ended at the NFC title game stage to these two teams in the previous two seasons.

There’s plenty of concern among the fanbase, but let’s not forget that Green Bay did defeat San Francisco on the road earlier in the season. And did so with many key players out.

Not to mention, the 49ers could be without two stars on defense. This will be something to watch in the coming week.

And if Warner and Bosa are out, it could be a very different game.

So, what’s your take on this matchup? Are you confident or concerned?
