Senior birthday: Forrest Pruner to celebrate his 90th birthday

Forrest Pruner of Shiloh will be celebrating his 90th birthday on Tuesday.

Born on Jan. 18, 1932, in rural Ashland to Ruth and Harold Pruner, Forrest graduated from Union High school in 1950. He then served in the Army heavy weapons infantry during the Korean War. Forrest attended Ashland College and received a Master of Education degree from Bowling Green State University. He taught school at Union and Crestview schools plus coached track and cross country for 50 years. After retirement from teaching, he sold insurance for Modern Woodmen.

Forrest married his wife Sally on Sept. 11, 1954, celebrating 67 years of marriage. They have four children: Deb Pruner of Shiloh, Keith (Karen) of Ashland, Scott (Debbie) of Mansfield and Daphne (Barry) Galloway of Savannah. They also have six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
