There is little doubt that we'll be seeing Moon Knight soon as the highly anticipated series is set to be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe show to premiere this year. In addition to that, the release window for She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel have already been teased. However, it looks like there will be two more MCU shows to look forward to in 2022. The release dates for Marvel's What If...? Season 2 and I Am Groot may have been confirmed!
It's no secret that we'll be seeing Moon Knight soon considering that the first full trailer for the MCU series is expected to drop this Monday. A previous report has suggested that the show will hit Disney+ in March and will be followed by She-Hulk in May then Ms. Marvel by August or September 2022.
But is it possible that there are two other MCU shows that will be released on the streaming service this year? The official Marvel Studios Japan website confirms that both Marvel's What If...? Season 2 and I Am Groot will air in 2022. Since the page lists the Marvel projects according to their release dates, there is a possibility that both shows will air before Ms. Marvel premieres in late summer.
This is an interesting update considering that we haven't been hearing about What If...? Season 2 and the Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off since they were both announced. Nevertheless, it's exciting to know that the MCU has a lot to offer this year.
The second season of What If...? is expected to feature more interesting one-shots that explore what could have been if certain changes were made in the MCU. I Am Groot is set to follow the adventures of the Guardians of the Galaxy character. Both shows have not yet been given official release dates. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
