Reichel and defenseman Ian Mitchell are headed back to Rockford. In his two-game stint with the Blackhawks, Reichel did not record a point, but was inches away from getting his first career goal in last night’s contest against the Ducks. In 20 AHL Games this season, Reichel leads the IceHogs in goals (11) and points (20).
Coming back to the Blackhawks Taxi Squad are forward Mike Hardman and goaltender Cale Morris. Hardman has skated in 19 games with Chicago this season and has two assists. In seven AHL games, Hardman has three goals and six points.
Finally, the Blackhawks are getting some defensive reinforcements with Jake McCabe coming off of COVID protocol. With McCabe and Seth Jones on protocol, the Blackhawks were missing over 46 minutes of ice-time in the regular defensive group. In 32 games this season, McCabe has three goals and six points, averaging 20:31 minutes per game.
The Blackhawks get back in action tomorrow for a late-afternoon game against the Seattle Kraken. Puck drop is at 4:00 p.m. CT.
