Julian Edelman is in a funny panic mode after his bet on the New England Patriots didn't pay off.

To recall, Edelman made headlines recently when he bet $100,000 for the Patriots and Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make it to the Super Bowl. He placed half ($50,000) of it on New England to make it all the way to the big game, a bet which would have netted him $375,000.

Unfortunately, the Patriots lost right in their first game, succumbing to the Buffalo Bills 47-17 in their Wild Card showdown on Saturday.

Edelman watched the game with high expectations, and after witnessing a rather disappointing showing from Bill Belichick's 2021 crew, he couldn't help but mock his own situation.

For what it's worth, the money Julian Edelman used to bet on the Patriots and Buccaneers came from his partnership with a betting company, so he really didn't use the money he earned from playing football.

However, a loss is still a loss, and he did what he had to do: ask for the return policy.

Luckily for Edelman, he still has a chance to recover the money through the Buccaneers. His bet on Tampa Bay will net him $170,000, so he has to pray his old pals Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski will step up and lead the Bucs to another Super Bowl appearance.

The former Patriots wide receiver knows very well Brady should never be counted out.
