On to 2022: Here's who the New England Patriots will play next season
The New England Patriots' run in the NFL playoffs came to a rough end with a 47-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round.In true Bill Belichick fashion, we're turning the page and turning our focus to the team's 2022 opponents.The Patriots' schedule has not been finalized, but we at least know who they will face and where next season.New England will face each AFC East divisional opponent twice, as it does every season, which means the team will play the Bills, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets at home and on the road.The Pats will also play all four teams in the AFC North and NFC North divisions. In addition, they will face the second-place teams in the AFC South, AFC West and NFC West by virtue of finishing second in the AFC East during the 2021 season.The home slate at Gillette Stadium will include eight games. In addition to the three AFC East teams, the list includes the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts.The Patriots will play nine games on the road after having played nine games at home in 2021. New England will travel to face the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers, in addition to the Bills, Dolphins and Jets.
